The ./dwos-bin
directory
contains all the programs used by NetStores. Here's a list of the
programs you can link to directly in an HTML page. The other files in
the directory are used internally by NetStores to process forms that
customers submit.
Pass parameters to these programs using the following URL format:
http://www.mydomain.com/dwos-bin/program?arg1+arg2+...+argn
Use a question mark (?) after the program name and before the parameters. Use a plus sign (+) between the parameters.
dsply-env
: Provides a list of
variables defined for the server. This is helpful for
troubleshooting your application. Accepts up to four parameters in
the URL that will be displayed after the list of environment
variables. For example, http://www.netstores.com/dwos-bin/dsply-env?test1+two++four.dwos
: Generates a "mallfront"
page with links to all the stores in the mall. No parameters are
needed. For example, http://www.netstores.com/dwos-bin/dwos.dwos-cat
: Lets you examine
files in your ./dwos
directory tree remotely if the
ADMIP parameter matches your IP address. The parameter in the URL
should be the filename you want to see relative to the
./dwos
directory. For example, http://www.netstores.com/dwos-bin/dwos-cat?data/ent/params.sh.
(The example files are accessible through dwos-cat
even if your IP address does not match ADMIP.)gen-acct
: Generates a page that
allows customers to open new accounts. Use the store-abbrev
as the parameter in the URL. For example, http://www.netstores.com/dwos-bin/gen-acct?vcp.gen-cat
: Generates the
storefront page for a store that uses the catalog interface. Use
the store-abbrev as the first parameter. (You can use
-s
as the first parameter and the store-abbrev
as the second parameter if you want to see the HTML code generated
by NetStores instead of displaying the page.) For example,
http://www.netstores.com/dwos-bin/gen-cat?vcp.gen-cmnt
: Generates a form that
allows the mall administrator to search for information about a
customer. You can only run this program if your IP address matches
the definition of the ADMIP parameter. Use the store-abbrev
as the parameter in the URL.gen-conf
: Generates a page that
uses the configured product interface. The first parameter should
be the HTML page you want to display. The second parameter should
be the store-abbrev. For example, http://www.netstores.com/dwos-bin/gen-conf?sws5.html+integrix.gen-help
: Link to the specified
help page. The first parameter should be the store-abbrev.
The second parameter should be "#" where the filename of
the HTML page you want to display is
./dwos/data/
store-abbrev/help
#.html
.
(You can add -s
as the first parameter if you want to
see the HTML code generated by NetStores instead of displaying the
page.) For example, http://www.netstores.com/dwos-bin/gen-help?ent+1
displays the ./dwos/data/ent/help1.html
file.gen-mrch
: Generates a form that
helps you perform the initial setup for a store. You will need to
edit the files NetStores creates when you submit this form. For
example, No parameters are needed.gen-page
: Generates a catalog
page. The storefront page generated by gen-cat has a link to this
program for each item in the catalog. The first parameter should
be "-f
". The second parameter should be
"items
". The third parameter should be the
store-abbrev. The fourth parameter should be the directory
that contains the item you want to display relative to the
./dwos/data/
store-abbrev directory. The fifth
and sixth parameters are used to pass the account number and
password if the customer has already entered them. The seventh
parameter should be the item's sequence number in this directory.
(You can add -s
as the first parameter if you want to
see the HTML code generated by NetStores instead of displaying the
page.) For example, http://www.netstores.com/dwos-bin/gen-page?-f+items+vcp+videos+++2.gen-srch
: Generates the
storefront page for a store that uses the search interface. Use
the store-abbrev as the first parameter. (You can use
-s
as the first parameter and the store-abbrev
as the second parameter if you want to see the HTML code generated
by NetStores instead of displaying the page.) For example,
http://www.netstores.com/dwos-bin/gen-srch?-s+mal.gen-srco
: Generates a page that
allows customers to search for orders. Use the store-abbrev
as the first parameter. (You can use -s
as the first
parameter and the store-abbrev as the second parameter if
you want to see the HTML code generated by NetStores instead of
displaying the page.) For example, http://www.netstores.com/dwos-bin/gen-srco?vcp.gen-srcq
: Generates a page that allows customers
to search for orders. Use the store-abbrev as the first
parameter. (You can use -s
as the first parameter and
the store-abbrev as the second parameter if you want to see
the HTML code generated by NetStores instead of displaying the
page.) For example, http://www.netstores.com/dwos-bin/gen-srcq?integrix.faxdoc
:
The NetStores programs run this script in ./dwos-bin
to send a fax. You may need to modify this program to use your
server's fax program and to add any numbers needed to reach an
outside phone line.custship
: The NetStores
programs run this script in
./dwos/data/
store-abbrev to calculate shipping
and handling charges based on the dollar amount and number of
items ordered. You can modify this program to use your
calculations.
