Chapter 2: Installing and Using NetStores

Retrieving orders (and using them to reorder)

When customers place orders, NetStores gives them an order number. For example, an order number of "ent-149" would be the 149th order for the store with the "ent" store-abbrev. Customers can return to this order using the gen-srco interface, which allows them to search for orders they have placed.

After retrieving an order, customers can use that order as a template for placing new orders. If your customers may fill similar orders several times, it's a good idea to add a link to the gen-srco interface on your storefront page. For example, the HTML for such a link would look similar to this:

    <A HREF="/dwos-bin/gen-srco?store-abbrev">

"Retrieve orders (gen-srco)" For an online example of this interface, see http://www.netstores.com/dwos-bin/gen-srco?vcp (use "1" for the account number and "captain" for the password.
