Saving and retrieving quotes

The NetStores Quoting System module allows customers to save and retrieve quotes. To use the NetStores Quoting System module, add a line that says "Quote" to your ./dwos/data/store-abbrev/payopt file. This change allows customers to choose to save an order as a quote.

NetStores will give a quote number to customers who save a quote. For example, a quote number of "ent-14" would be the 14th quote for the store with the "ent" store-abbrev.

Retrieving a quote is similar to retrieving an order. Customers can search for quotes using the gen-srcq interface.

After retrieving a quote, customers can use that quote to place an order. So, if you allow customers to save quotes, it's a good idea to add a link to the gen-srcq interface on your storefront page. For example, the HTML for such a link would look similar to this:

    <A HREF="/dwos-bin/gen-srcq?store-abbrev">

"Retrieve quotes (gen-srcq)" For an online example of this interface, see http://www.netstores.com/dwos-bin/gen-srcq?ent (use "1" for the account number and "captain" for the password.
