Search storefront directory overview
Here is a list of the directories and files for a storefront that
uses the gen-srch interface.
(for example: /usr/local/etc/httpd)
(contains one directory for each store and one directory
for the mall)
Store-abbrev (gen-srch interface)
Modify the example file to suit your needs, it contains
most of the parameters that affect how your store looks
and functions. See the list of
parameters for a complete list.
Contains a list of the items your store offers.
*.lst (category list files)
Contain the valid values for this field in the order you
want them listed in the search form selection field. The
name of the file should match the name of the field in
the SRCHS parameter definition.
A list of credit cards and payment options your store
accepts. Listed one per line. Individual stores can use
their own payopt file or the mall-level file.
Executable file that computes shiping and handling based
on the dollar amount and number of items ordered. You can
customize this script to match your store's needs.
Put your store's name, address, and phone numbers in this
file as you want them to appear in the header of the
receipt that is emailed or faxed to customers who request

request order confirmation in this file. NetStores will
replace EMWAIT in this file with the value of the EMWAIT
parameter, ORDNO with the order number, and ORDDAT and
ORDTIM with the current date and time.
A store can have a private customer file that is separate
from the mall-level customer file.
Master order file. Contains a complete history of orders
Open orders file. Contains a history of all orders placed
since the last time you emptied this file.
Quote history file. Contains all the quotes customers
have saved (if you are using the optional NetStores
Quoting System module).
Contains the next available account number if the
customer does not choose his or her own. Individual
stores can use their own nxtcus file or the mall-level

Individual stores can use their own nxttrxfile or the

Transaction log. Records start and finish of each sales

A Web page that provides help information about the
store. Individual stores can use their own help1.html
file or the mall-level file.
Contains images you want your store's pages to use.
Contains pages and images you want items linked to in the
